York RI start the second half of the 25/26 season with a convincing 4-1 win in our local York City derby match against possible promotion challengers York 9. All the games were played in a good sporting manner with only a couple of disputed let calls to spice up the evening.
Each of Mick, Ian, John and Richard all producing solid performances, whilst Drew played with passion winning his first game then his opponent Kira played really well to take their match 3-1 in games. The whole team is awarded this week’s ‘man of match’ as we solidify our second position in Division 5 with 130 points, behind unbeaten Scarborough 3 on 143 points.
A busy week for our team next week with Stillington 3 away on Tuesday and then we play Division 1 titans Wigginton 2 in the Riley Cup at home.
